Deze verstijfde staafboogbrug is gebouwd tussen 1934 en 1936 als één van de eerste van de stalen boogbruggen die tussen 1934 en 1976 zijn gebouwd over het Amsterdam-Rijnkanaal, Lekkanaal en Boven-IJ.
