Bibliographic data from a systematic review on the theoretical foundations of honor-based violence

References included in a systematic review on the theoretical foundations explaining honor-based violence and the associated institutional responses. The recorded references correspond to the final 40 articles included in a systematic review conducted in accordance with the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) statement. The review included studies indexed in the Scopus and Web of Science databases, published between 2016 and 2023, that explicitly addressed honor-based violence from culturalist approaches, gender-based violence perspectives, or mixed frameworks. These references constitute the documentary and analytical basis of the review.
