The delta18O and delta13C results for Globigerina bulloides and Uvigerina sp. from the top 100 m of core have been previously reported by Nelson et al. (1985 doi:10.1038/318361a0, 1986 doi:10.2973/dsdp.proc.90.144.1986). However, a subsequently detected calculation error with respect to the PDB standard (Cuthbertson, 1988) means that those results are consistently too light by 0.26 ‰ for delta18O and too heavy by 0.87 ‰ for delta13C. For original data see Nelson et al. (1986) doi:10.1594/PANGAEA.688751. Weight correction factor (Sigma f) corrects the species-depending fractionation factors ranging from +1.6 ‰ to -2.5 ‰ for different coccolithophore species. Sigma f = (-1.2a-1.6b+2.5c+2.5d+2.2e-1.6g)/100, with a b c d e g represents estimates of the weigth percent of species. a = gephyrocapsids, b = Emiliana huxleyi, c = Calcidiscus leptoporus, d = Umbilicosphaera sp., e = Syracosphaera sp., g = Pseudoemiliana lacunosa (see Dudley and Nelson, 1989 doi:10.1016/0377-8398(89)90025-X)
