In this project ten independent lineages of ichthyosporean Sphaerforma arctica, were serially passaged in liquid medium and exposed to elevated gravitational force (centrifugation) prior to every other transfer.

The aim was to promote the initiation of multicellularity in a unicellular relative of the metazoan lineage via the emergence of cell adhesion and clumping behavior in S. arctica.

The data comprises a total of 11 Illumina sequence datasets:

one single cell isolate derived from each of the ten lineage extracted at after last transfer (cycle 56) [10 genomes], and,

the common ancestor to start the experiment [1 genome].
