The 1998 'Young People's Social Attitudes' survey is an off-shoot of the 1998 'British Social Attitudes' survey (held at the UK Data Archive under SN:4131). It was designed to explore the attitudes and values of children and young people and make comparisons with those held by adults in 1998 and with other young people interviewed on the 1994 'Young People's Social Attitudes survey'(held under SN:3629). All young people aged 12-19 living in households of BSA respondents were approached for interview.
