Limitations on the role of frequency in L2 acquisition [Dataset]

DOI

This data set contains files associated with a study on motion event encoding in three L1 (French, German, English) and two L2 (German, English) groups of speakers. The L2 speakers are native speakers of French. Participants viewed short video clips and described them spontaneously. Descriptions were transcribed and coded for formal and semantic analyses.

"Appendix A" contains instructions given to the participants. "Appendix B" contains screenshots of the 13 critical video clips. "Appendix C" is a documentation of the statistical analysis. "Coded_verbalization.csv" contains coded responses, which served as the basis for the statistical analysis.
