This dataset presents rare earth element concentrations ([REE]) and dissolved radiogenic neodymium (Nd) isotopes from the Equatorial Pacific Ocean collected during the GEOTRACES GP11 expedition aboard the German RV SONNE (SO298). The cruise took place from April to June 2023 between Guayaquil (Ecuador) and Townsville (Australia), with sampling stations extending from Ecuador to Papua New Guinea along the equator.Seawater samples for [REE] and Nd isotopes were collected using Niskin bottles mounted on a stainless steel CTD (SS-CTD) rosette or via a trace-metal-clean underway towed-fish system. Samples for [REE] were pre-concentrated offline using a SeaFAST system and analyzed by a Thermo Element XR ICP-MS coupled with a CETAC Aridus 2 desolvating nebulizer to reduce oxide formation. Dissolved Nd isotopes were pre-concentrated onboard by adsorption onto Fe hydroxide precipitates and, following purification in the home laboratory, measured with a Neptune Plus Multicollector-Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (MC-ICP-MS).
