Dit gebouw werd in 1969/70 gerealiseerd als bankgebouw (kantoor met bovenwoningen) voor de Boerenleenbank, afdeling Heerlen aan de toen volop in ontwikkeling zijnde moderne winkelstraat Promenade in het centrum van Heerlen. Het ontwerp is van J.D. (Jan Dierik) & A.G. (Aebele Gerke) Postma uit Rotterdam.
