De woning met winkel Plein 24 vormt een geheel samen met restaurant de Roskam op nummer 25. Al in de achttiende eeuw is dit deel van het gebouw in gebruik als stal of poortgebouw. In 1911 wordt het deel ingericht als woonhuis, met op de begane grond een winkel. Grote verbouwingen vinden plaats in 1947 en tenslotte in 1985.
