D3.2: EUDAT Training Needs Analysis

This document records the findings of a training needs analysis process undertaken by the Training team in the EUDAT project. The document considers the needs of EUDAT’s initial communities (CLARIN, ENES, EPOS, LifeWatch and VPH) in turn, before drawing together the common themes. All communities were found to have certain unique needs, either in terms of training subjects or the nature of the how the training is provided. The subjects that were most requested across communities for training were Data Staging and Movement, Workflow Orchestration and Execution and AAI principles. It is recommended that EUDAT offers two distinct kinds of training to two different audiences: General “awareness-building” training to a wide audience of potential end-users, delivered at existing community events, and more technically detailed, EUDAT-specific training for implementers, developers and integrators in the communities.
