We request 4 days on VESUVIO to study atomic momentum distributions in copper-exchanged Linde Type A (LTA) and Sodalite (SOD) zeolite frameworks, into which ammonia has been absorbed. This work is closely tied to previous inelastic neutron scattering (INS) studies of these systems, with a parallel application being submitted to continue our work on the TOSCA instrument. We now extend our investigations of the binding of ammonia in zeolites to include Cun+-exchanged analogues of the systems. We have also submitted a parallel application on the TOSCA instrument for study of the samples we propose to run on VESUVIO. The synchronous collection of both TOSCA and VESUVIO data for our samples is something that we believe would provide highly relevant data for our systems, and prove to be an advantageous demonstration for future chemical investigations.
