Timeseries of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation, North Atlantic air-sea and meridional heat fluxes, SSTs, and SATs in climate models from CMIP6

DOI

This data provides post-processed CMIP6 data. The dataset includes annually-averaged timeseries of the (1) Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation and (2) northward heat transport at 26.5°N, 30°N, 35°N, 40°N, 45°N, 50°N, 55°N, and 60°N, the (3) basin-wide integrated air-sea heat fluxes in the North Atlantic north of the respective latitudes, (4) basin-wide averaged sea surface temperatures of the subpolar gyre region as defined by Caesar et al. (2018), and globally-averaged (5) sea surface temperatures and (6) surface atmospheric temperatures. Timeseries are provided for the historical simulations, the SSP1-2.6 and SSP5-8.5 simulations, and the corresponding piControl simulations. The years in the piControl simulations correspond to the respective years in the historical and SSP simulations. For more details, please see Terhaar et al.
