This dataset contains the physical, biometrical, and physiological parameters of the Peruvian scallop Argopecten purpuratus collected during a 51-day laboratory experiment. The study followed a 2×2 factorial design crossing two oxygen levels (Hypoxia 20% sat. vs. Normoxia 100% sat.) and two pH levels (Low pH 7.4 vs. Normal pH 7.8). Data includes daily environmental monitoring of the experimental tanks (temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, salinity and total alcalinity), daily survival rates, and bi-weekly measurements of shell height, dry weight of tissues ( gonad, flesh, shell), and physiological indices such as the gonadosomatic index, Fulton's condition index, standardized clearance and net calcification rates. This dataset supports the findings on the article Trade-off between growth and reproduction in Argopecten purpuratus (L.) scallops exposed to medium-term hypoxia and acidification. This dataset is included in the OA-ICC data compilation maintained in the framework of the IAEA Ocean Acidification International Coordination Centre (see https://oa-icc.ipsl.fr). Original data were provided by the author of the related paper (see Related to) to the OA-ICC data curator. In order to allow full comparability with other ocean acidification data sets, the R package seacarb (Gattuso et al, 2024) was used to compute a complete and consistent set of carbonate system variables, as described by Nisumaa et al. (2010). In this dataset the original values were archived in addition with the recalculated parameters (see related PI). The date of carbonate chemistry calculation by seacarb is 2026-05-11.
