To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, 25 species will have their genome sequenced. This will be the Sanger Institute’s pathfinder contribution towards the effort to sequence all life on earth. The genomes produced will all be novel and will be sequenced/assembled/annotated in such a way as to be the reference sequences for their respective species. The species will be sequenced using both short and long read technologies, to a depth of 50x and the assembly will be improved with the addition of 10X Chromium sequencing. This data is part of a pre-publication release. For information on the proper use of pre-publication data shared by the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute please see http://www.sanger.ac.uk/datasharing/
