Common European Sales Law (CESL) Standaardmededeling project 1

DOI

In this survey (no 1), we varied the text characteristics of the standard information notice as proposed in the Draft Regulation for a Common European Sales Law (CESL 2011). Thus, two versions (easy to read vs difficult to read) were proposed to 4th year law students in the Netherlands to measure differences in reading ease and understanding of the texts.

The variable 'duidelijkheid' captures the mean score for a respondent of all scores on the variables measuring 'duidelijkheid'.The variable 'informatief' captures the mean score for a respondent of all scores on the variables measuring 'informatief'.The .sav file was deposited by Leiden University. DANS added the .por and .dta formats to ensure preservation and accessibility.
