XRF down-core scanning profiles and sediment facies of sediments from the East Frisian Wadden Sea, Germany

DOI

Ninety-two sediment cores (length: up to 6 m, diameter: 8 and 10 cm) were recovered from tidal flats, channels, and offshore around the island of Norderney. They were scanned by a COX Itrax-XRF core scanner at the GEOPOLAR lab, University of Bremen to obtain the down-core XRF profiles and images. Meanwhile, sediment facies along data points were described by sedimentologists and digitized. Here we present both the cleaned and excluded data.
