This dataset contains crystallographic and microscopic characterization data of Cu7Te4 single crystalline nanorods, that are self-standing on a Pt substrate. The two-step synthetic protocol of these nanostructures is based on soft chemistry and electrochemistry methods, using ecofriendly reagents (ionic liquids and ascorbic acid) and carried out at atmospheric pressure and room temperature. The influence of the molar ratio of precursors in the bath on the chemical composition of the nanostructures was investigated.
In optimal experimental conditions, the analyses highlight the obtaining of single crystalline Cu7Te4 with a homogeneous chemical composition along the nanorods. The detailed analysis of the microstructure shows the presence of stacking local defects, leading to curved nanostructures.
The dataset contains the following data characteristic of Cu7Te4 and of Te intermediate nanostructures:
- XRD and SAED crystallographic data
- SEM and HRTEM images with FFT, STEM and HAADF
- EDS mapping images
- Statistical analysis of nanorods size
- EELS spectra
Synthetic protocol and characterization conditions are detailed in a .txt file
