Microplankton abundance in the euphotic zone of the Aegean Sea in winter 1995

Microplankton species composition analysis was performed according to the inverted microscope method of Utermoehl. Samples for identification and enumeration of larger phytoplankton cells (>5 µm) were preserved in alkaline Lugol solution. Utermoehl, H., 1958.
