Anisotropy in the momentum distribution of Li in the graphite intercalate compound LiC6

We request 9 days on VESUVIO to investigate the angularly resolved momentum distributions of Li and C in pyrolytic graphite (PG) intercalated with Li (LiC6). We wish to determine lithium momentum distributions and kinetic energies both within the plane and perpendicular to the graphite layers. This would be the first demonstration of VESUVIO being able to determine anisotropy in the momentum distributions of heavy masses, and utlises one of a family of compounds ubiquitous to battery materials.
