Fusarium disease of sugarbeet is a threat to sugarbeet production and can cause lead losses. A new Fusarium disease found infecting a sugarbeet in Wilkin County, MN, USA was sequenced by a Minion Nanopore Systems and assembled into 19 contigs. The genome size is estimated to be 59.3 Mb and consists of 18,148 genes. The GC content is 50.66% and 37 secondary metabolite clusters. Genomic data reported here highlights the virulence features, secondary metabolism potential, plant-microbe interactions, and genes associated with Fusarium pathogenicity. Polyphasic analysis based on common genes to Fusarium places this isolate in the Fusarium solani FSSC 5 clade (100.0% similarity). These results extend our understanding of the new Fusarium solani pathogen of sugarbeet.
