DE - Die vorliegende Bestandsbeschreibung gibt einen Überblick zum Inhalt und zur Geschichte der Sammlung Pekelský des Collegium Carolinum. Der umfangreiche Bestand der Sammlung an tschechischer, slowakischer und sudetendeutscher Exilpresse umfasst über 850 Periodika, Monographien und weiteres Schriftgut. Sie basiert auf dem im Jahr 1977 vom Collegium Carolinum erworbenen Nachlass des Journalisten Vladimír Pekelský. Von manchen dieser Druckerzeugnisse ist das Collegium Carolinum im deutschsprachigen Raum Alleinbesitzer. Die Bestandsbeschreibung beleuchtet auch die sich im Sammlungsschwerpunkt wiedergespiegelten politischen Einstellungen von Vladimír Pekelský sowie den historischen Kontext der Entstehung der Exilpresse im Rahmen der Emigration aus der Tschechoslowakei nach 1945.

EN - This collection description gives an overview of the content and the history of the Pekelský Collection of the Collegium Carolinum. The collection´s extensive holdings of Czech, Slovak and Sudeten German exile publications contains over 850 periodical titles, monographs and other written resources. It is based on the estate of the journalist Vladimír Pekelský, which was acquired by the Collegium Carolinum in 1977. The Collegium Carolinum is the sole possessor of some of these printed resources in the German-speaking world. The collection description also explores on the political stance of Vladimír Pekelský, which is reflected in the focus of the collection, as well as the historical context of the emergence of the exile publications in the context of the emigration from Czechoslovakia after 1945.
