Age model opf sediment core GIK14350-1

Although it is enticing to use the younger U/Th-ages with smaller deviations for the core section above 19 m depth, a close scrutiny of the measured U/Th levels showed significant enrichment in an open system resulting in younger ages. On the other hand, the Turritella Ton effectively sealed off the lower Senescens Sand as a unit. A weighted average measured age of 132.1 ka was obtained after ignoring obvious stray measurements.Project was funded by the German Research Foundation Project No. Wi 1322/1-2.
