Planktonic foraminifera data was collected using a surface sampling in Kali Pasir River-Banyumas Basin, Central Java, Indonesia (1,300 m measured section of sampling area). The sampled sediment obtained in every 10 m resolution. 126 samples were analyzed for micropaleontogical analysis. Sample preparation was carried out in the laboratory of sediment analysis of the National Research and Innovation Agency, Indonesia. The samples were soaked for 30 minutes with Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2), decanted, and washed by water in a sieving > 63 μm to retrieve the foraminifera. The samples were dried in an oven at 50°C for 24 hours. The faunal analysis was carried out quantitatively for >300 specimens per sample. The planktonic and benthic foraminifera were determined under a binocular microscope under 100 to 400 magnifications. The preservation of planktonic foraminifera assemblages in sediment was determined quantitatively from 1 gram residue for each sample.
