Temperature, salinity, and pressure data were collected using an SBE 49 Fastcat uCTD during the ANTAR XXVII expedition in February 2020 aboard the RV BAP Carrasco (BOP 171). The measurements were conducted along four transects (T1, T2, T3, and T4) across the Bransfield Strait, between the southwestern area of King George, Nelson, and Roberts Islands and the Antarctic Peninsula. The uCTD was equipped with factory-calibrated temperature and conductivity sensors (SBE49), installed prior to the cruise in January. No post-cruise or in-situ calibration was applied. Data processing included the removal of obvious outliers. This survey was carried out as part of Peru's National Antarctic Program under the research project "Structure and Dynamics of Circulation in the Bransfield Strait."
This dataset is part of the project entitled "Structure and Dynamics of Circulation in the Bransfield Strait" which was financed through the Peruvian Results-Based Budget Program PPR 068, entitled "Reduction of Vulnerability and Emergency Attention for Disasters" with reference number RM N° 0884-2019-Re as part of a call for proposals within the Peru's National Antarctica Program funded by the Directorate of Antarctic Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru.
