Frost hardiness and phenological events of native and non-native species in Switzerland

DOI

This dataset includes measurements of lethal temperatures (LT) of buds and leaves collected in winter and spring 2025, along with phenological observations recorded during 2024–2025 in a forest plantation in Switzerland. The data were collected to assess frost tolerance and phenological timing in native and non-native tree species under current climatic conditions.

The species investigated are Abies bornmuelleriana, Abies alba, Cedrus libani, Fagus orientalis, Fagus sylvatica, Tilia tomentosa, Tilia platyphyllos, and Quercus petraea.
