Metagenomics of sediments from Gulf of Mexico

This project is related with samples from sediment obtained in the Gulf of Mexico, we are interested in knowing if there are any bacteria capable of hydrocarbon degradation.These hydrocarbons are product of the accident ocurred in the Deep Water Horizon oil platform.This work was developed at the Instituto Mexicano del Petroleo in Mexico.
