Landslide volumetric and distribution data in Duku Corridor of Tien Shan, China

DOI

This dataset presents a total of 742 landslides that occurred before August 2024 in the Duku Corridor of the Tien Shan, China, with a spatial coverage of around 27,800 square kilometers. For each entry, landslide type, area, volume, damming status, and geometry information are recorded. The landslide locations and boundaries were identified and delineated through visual interpretation of landslides on remote sensing images (2000-2024) via Google Earth. Landslide volumes were determined using the empirical area-volume equation of landslides, with modifications based on landslide volumetric and spatial coverage data retrieved from other research on the Tien Shan for local adjustment. The entire dataset was reviewed and validated.
