While the BCS theory can well interpret the behavior of low temperature superconductors (LTS), it is no longer valid for explaining the superconductivity in high temperature superconductors (HTS) and non-conventional superconductors, where the superconductivity seems to not be induced by phonon-electron coupling but by more exotic interactions which has to be the case for compounds with high structural disorder. Atomic distribution of the substituting elements in the crystals structure of LaZn2-xSn2 and La(ZnyNi1-y)2-xSn2 will be determined and their effect on the phenomenon of superconductivity will be investigated.
