Friction induced vibrations of Finger in active touch: anteroposterior and lateral directions

DOI

Project in the ANR-20-CE28-0010 COMTACT These data were obtained from finger vibrations during tactile task in anteroposterior and lateral sliding directions. The difference between anteroposterior and lateral movements in terms of finger vibrations are highlighted. We found that finger vibrations during moving touch were consistently larger in the anteroposterior dimension, especially for frequencies higher than 100 Hz, regardless of the condition or surface. However, for frequencies below 60 Hz, finger vibrations were smaller, similar or greater in the anteroposterior dimension.
