Time resolved imaging of Winter’s magnons

The aim of the proposal is to investigate the dynamics of spin waves propagating in domain walls of thick permalloy elements. In particular, we will image their propagation and explore the intrinsic characteristics, such as eigen modes and damping parameter, as functions of the external stimuli. The investigation will be carried out using the high coherence of the EBS by time-resolved x-ray imaging, using Fourier transform holography with extended references.
