The triangular magnetic systems are interesting due to strong frustration. It a purely two-dimensional system, a magnetic order should not be established above 0 K. Recently, we have found that Ba8CoNb6O24 show no presence of AF order down to 28 mK while specific heat and magnetic measurements suggest short-range antiferromagnetic correlations below 2 K. We propose to use E2 to study such short-range correlations. Our result swill help us understand the magnetic ground state in this materials and shed new light in search quantum spin liquids.
