Magnon dispersion in TbMnO3

TbMnO3 is the key material for understanding the dynamic properties ofthe new class of transition-metal-oxide multiferroics. In particularthe interpretation of the electromagnon requires a detailed knowledgeof the magnon dispersion in the chiral magnetic phase. In order toobtain a complete picture of the magnon dispersion along mainsymmetry and zone-boundary paths we propose to study magneticexcitations by the TOF technique with single crystals.
