The Manival torrent comprises many protection structures (check dams, dykes, debris basin). The torrent control service (ONF-RTM) is in charge of the headwaters of the catchment, while the basin agency (SYMBHI) is in charge of the downstream reaches of the torrent. Following some adaptations of the debris basin that were defined empirically ( Carladous et al., 2022), a comprehensive study of the debris basin and the downstream reaches on a small-scale model was performed in the CNR-CACOH laboratory.
Several runs were performed, some with debris flow material, other with bedload transport. This dataset comprises data related to the bedload transport runs including the digital terrain models measured with a terrestrial LiDAR before and after the tests. Three tests named Q10, Q30 and Q100 were performed for return period events of 10 years, 30 years and 100 years, respectively, and the initial debris basin geometry.
The digital terrain model are georeferenced with the Lambert 93 reference system (EPSG: 2154). Beware that only the debris basin is correctly localised. The downstream reaches are shorten in the model as compared to the actual terrain geometry ( see Tissot et al., 2024).
