Data of the accepted paper "What are the costs of learning? - Modest trade-offs and constitutive costs do not set the price of fast associative learning ability in a parasitoid wasp" in Animal Cognition. As part of a larger project exploring the evolutionary processes involved in learning ability, this paper focussed on the constitutive costs involved with rapid associative learning ability. A range of possible traits that could trade-off with learning ability were measured in selected lines of the parasitoid wasps Nasonia vitripennis selected for rapid learning ability.
