The Multichannel Double Pass Spectrograph (MSDP), an imaging spectroscopy technique for solar physics

DOI

We present a set of documents about the Multichannel Subtractive Double Pass technique, i.e. a technique of 2D imaging spectroscopy applied to solar physics (photospheric and chromospheric observations), that was developed since 1977 by Pierre Mein at Meudon. The set contains the history of the devices integrated to the spectrographs of many observatories, a bibliography of scientific papers based on MSDP data, the methods used for data processing and future extensions or projects.
