The Florence urban station of the Ximeniano Observatory is located in the city center of Florence, Tuscany, Italy and it has been measuring eddy covariance fluxes of momentum, energy and CO2 since 2005. The overlap between the footprint area and the high-resolution land use map reveals that urbanized areas represent the outmost fraction of the footprint (> 94%) with respect to urban green areas that are almost absent (< 6%).
