The car brand's market share indicates the relative market share of a brand compared to others within a geographic area. The dataset comprises information on 14 brands: Audi, BMW (including Alfa Romea and Lanica), Ford, Mazda, Mercedes, Nissan, Opel, Peugeot (including Citroёn), Renault, other Asian car brands, other brands, Toyota (including Lexus), VW. All car indicators are based on the central car register of the Federal Motor Transport Authority (Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt, KBA) in Flensburg (microm 2016, p. 94).

Der PKW Markenanteil gibt an, wie hoch der prozentuale Anteil einer Marke gemessen an der Anzahl aller PKW in einem Raum ist. Es liegen Informationen über 14 Marken vor: Audi, BMW, Fiat (einschließlich Alfa Romeo und Lancia), Ford, Mazda, Mercedes, Nissan, Opel, Peugeot (einschließlich Citroёn) Renault, sonstige asiatische PKW Marken, Sonstige PKW Marken, Toyota (einschließlich Lexus) und VW. Diese Informationen basieren auf den Angaben des Zentralen Fahrzeugregisters des Kraftfahrt-Bundesamtes in Flensburg (microm 2016, S. 94).
