Selective signature associated with coat colour in swan and greylag geese

Geese had two different origination in the world: most of domesticated geese in China were offspring of swan geese and others from grey-lag geese. Mutations in EDNRB2 gene have been reported to be regulating the swan geese coat color. However, this was not the causal one in grey-lag geese. We aimed at finding other mutations that were responsible for the white coat color variation in grey-lag geese. In total, 57 geese were re-sequenced at ~10X depth on Illumina X10 platform.
