From brown to green. Making the traditional sailing fleet more sustainable.

DOI

Data was collected to investigate the requirements of shippers of traditional sailing ships when it comes to retrofitting their ships with more sustainable (auxiliary) engines and improving the safety on board. Primary data was collected through two surveys among shippers, follow-up interviews on engine use and requirements with a smaller number of these respondents, and in-depth interviews with two shippers who already made the switch to electric propulsion.
