Identification of telomerase RNA from class asteroidea (star fish) species

RNA-seq of size selected Pisaster ochraceus (ochre sea star) and Pisaster giganteus (giant sea star) RNA (300-750 nts) was performed using illumina HiSeq 2000 for the bioinformatics based identification of telomerase RNA from both species. Identified telomerase RNAs provide crucial insight into the evolution of telomerase RNA across the animal kingdom.
