Determining the magnetic structureof Co2TiO4 by single crystal neutron diffraction

The aim of this proposal is to determine the unknown magnetic structure of Co2TiO4 and its temperature evolution using single crystal neutron diffraction. The sequence of a ferrimagnetic transition followed by a spin-glass transition for the transverse component is discussed controversially in the literature. However, only powder samples have been used for those studies. We dispose of a high-quality single crystal and propose to investigate the magnetic structures at the D10 diffractometer.
