Ferrybox measurements at the Jade Bay, tidal cycle, March 2016, RB Otzum

DOI

The data were collected with RB Otzum (ICBM) in the outer Jade Bay (south-east North Sea) on 3 March 2016 while driving back and forth along a transect between Schillig and Mellum during an entire tidal cycle, starting at high tide. Water was continually pumped up with a mean flow of 8.599 l/min from a depth of 0.7 m to be analyzed in a "Ferrybox" by -4H- JENA eng. GmbH. Additionally, a temperature sensor SBE38 was applied in the same depth to continually measure the in situ water temperature. Spikes over 250 NTU were removed from the turbidity data (Cyclops).
