A radiocarbon-dated pollen record and pollen-based vegetation (biome) reconstruction of the last 13,000 years derived from Lake Kamenistoe (Kola Peninsula)

A 135-cm-long sediment core from Lake Kamenistoe was recovered in 2018 from a coring platform positioned in the deepest (ca. 4 m) part of the lake (67°30'31.4'' N; 34°38'53.3'' E). To determine the age of the Kamenistoe core, four bulk samples were taken from the sediment sequence. Extraction of pollen and non-pollen palynomorphs followed the hydrofluoric acid (HF) approach.
