Pandemic Outbreak of Crown-of-Thorns Starfish (COTS) Populations in the Pacific Ocean Description

Using the complete mitochondrial DNA sequences of 145 COTS adults collected from 11 coral reefs in the Pacific Ocean, we carried out molecular phylogenetic analyses to infer a scenario where COST originated and how they caused pandemic outbreaks.
