Crabeater seals (Lobodon carcinophaga) were immobilised during expedition PS141 (EASI 3, 2024) for the purpose of deployments with satellite relayed accelerometry and time-depth-temperature loggers (SCOUT-DSA-296G and/or SPLASH-F-391A , Wildlife Computers). The deployments (n=15 individuals) were located in pack ice zones along the ship-track around Shackleton ice shelf, Bowman Island and Vincennes Bay. The seals were searched by helicopter and were immobilised on ice floes between 27 February and 23 March 2024 just after the crabeater seal moulting period.
