This dataset contains time-resolved transient absorption spectroscopy measurements of rod-like α-Fe2O3-based nanomotors. The data were acquired to capture the ultrafast excited-state dynamics of suspended α-Fe2O3-based photocatalysts following photoexcitation at 500 nm to solely excite Fe2O3. The dataset includes differential absorption spectra recorded over femtosecond to 79.608 nanosecond timescales, providing insight into the lifetimes and spectral signatures of photoexcited states. Processed data files are provided in standardized formats suitable for further kinetic analysis and spectral deconvolution (2D dataset). Also the raw data is readable using Glotaran. The dataset supports studies of charge transfer processes in different Fe2O3 systems coupled with Pt, SiO2, TiO2 or Pt/TiO2
