Neogloboquadrina dutertrei Mg/Ca based thermocline water temperature estimates for core GeoB22222-1 (Mg/Ca ratios were measured using an Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrophotometer (ICP-OES; 5110VDV, Agilent Technologies, Inc., USA) at the State Key Laboratory of Marine Environmental Science (MEL), Xiamen University, China; Mg/Ca ratios of N. dutertrei were converted to temperature using the species-specific Mg/Ca-temperature calibration equation Mg/Ca [mmol/mol] = 0.342 exp [0.090 × T, °C] from Anand et al. (2003, doi:10.1029/2002PA000846).
