Context and methodology
This data was collected within the framework of the PhD thesis by Antonella Fantoni. The thesis has been published in TU Wien's reposiTUm as referenced below. In this thesis, novel concepts for the preparation of biocompatible photopolymers have been explored. The thesis is divided in two main chapters, beginning with the development of orthogonal photo-crosslinking and -degradation of hybrid poly(vinyl alcohol) and gelatin-based hydrogels. Therein, one-photon radical induced thiol-ene photoconjugation and two-photon radical-induced disulfide scission were facilitated using a simple dithiol-disulfide linker. Parts of this chapter have been published as https://doi.org/10.1021/acs.biomac.5c00062. The second chapter aimed for the synthesis, characterization and application of novel aliphatic radical photoinitiators based on the α-ketoester moiety in vinyl monomers that are known to exhibit less phototoxicity than traditionally used aromatic counterparts. Parts of this chapter have been published as https://doi.org/10.1039/D5MA00926J.
Technical details
File types:
.czi files (Carl Zeiss Image, z-stack LSM images of micropatterned hydrogels) are processable using Zeiss ZEN software or ImageJ with the ImageJ-based Fiji software package.
Bruker NMR raw data directories (pdata, acqu, shimvalues, etc.) are processable with MestreNova or Bruker TopSpin.
More info concerning file types can be found in the General Data Management Plan of the Division Macromolecular Chemistry.
