This dataset contains the sampling locations (Lat/Lon) and water depth at sampling stations (m), contents of calcium carbonate (CaCO3) and total organic carbon (TOC) of 51 modern seafloor sediment samples from the Spermonde Archipelago, SW Sulawesi, Indonesia. Field sampling was performed in August 2021 in the framework of the HAnsea project, sample depths range from 4.5 to 73.6 m water depth (determined with a PLASTIMO Echotest 2) and comprise the uppermost 0.1 m of sediment (collected with a Kasten corer). Data collection was done between June 2023 and April 2024; CaCO3 was determined using the method by Müller & Gastner (1971), TOC was analysed using the macro-elemental analyser "multi EA 4000".
