This study aims to investigate the differences in the fungal and bacterial microbiome between Dryas octopetala found in the Tatra Mountains, Poland and Spitsbergen, Norway. The material was collected from five locations in the Tatra Mountains, Poland and five locations in Spitsbergen, Norway. Leaves were surface sterilized, total genomic DNA was isolated, and PCR reactions amplifying the 16S rRNA gene and ITS region were performed. Amplicons were sequenced using the Oxford Nanopore MinION platform. Reads with mean Q scores lower than 9 were filtered out in parallel with base-calling on the MinKNOW (v2023.06.13) program using Guppy v3.2.10.
